Atul Kochhar is an Indian-born, British-based chef, Michelin-starred chef and restaurateur. Chef Patron of Benares restaurant, in Mayfair, he is one of the most critically acclaimed chefs in Britain; he was the first Indian chef to win a Michelin Star and has received numerous awards and accolades during his career.
Atul’s unique understanding of how to combine Indian flavours with modern British food has since reached global renown. He has opened multiple restaurants across the UK, Europe, UAE and most recently India.
Atul dedicates a lot of time outside of the kitchen to philanthropic endeavours with The British Asian Trust and Curry for Change. Atul is excited to work alongside Jamie’s Foundation and the CEO CookOff to help raise £2 million to help tackle childhood obesity, hunger and waste.
